What Do I Get for the "Basic" Drum Lesson Package

For some students saving money with the Basic package is ideal if they only want lessons and a recital every 6 months. This means they wont be doing in-studio professional recordings of their performances or receive swag such as band posters and t-shirts for completing songs. If you are wondering what you get in the "Basic" drum lesson package. Here is an overview.

Weekly 30 minute private lessons

These lessons will be one on one with the student and the teacher (Josh) who will be fully dedicated to the individual learning of that student for 30 minutes each week (allowing a couple minutes at the beginning and end of the lesson for transition). These lessons usually consist of playing along to the song and going over parts in the song that the student can't quite get yet. Once a student has mastered the song with minimal mistakes they will receive a band sticker as a reward. However, with the Basic package the student will not record their song in the studio. They will need to upgrade to a Premium or Premium Plus package to do that.

Also during the lesson they will go over the Drums In Color method book. The student will play the next exercises in the book and review any parts they don't understand. Students will perform each exercise for the teacher. After the completion of each chapter the student will receive the chapter drum stickers as a reward. With the Basic package the student will not have online video help through the QR code links in the book. This membership is only available through the other packages.

Please note that with the Basic package their are no recordings of song performances in the studio or swag perks such as band posters, band T-shirts, or drum sticks for completing songs. For these perks, please review the Premium or Premium Plus packages.

Live Recitals Every 6 Months

As part of the Basic drum lesson package students have the opportunity to perform semi-annually. This will be at a local venue. Students perform the song of their choosing and perform it live on stage with lights and music. These performances usually happen before summer break, and Thanksgiving. Basic package students will receive a sticker for their performance. These live sessions will also be recorded but videos will only be uploaded for Premium or Premium Plus package holders.

The Basic package is a good option if you want to save on costs and keep it simple, come to lessons each week, learn songs, review the method book, have a recital every six months. If this sounds like something you want than great! The Basic package just might be for you.
