Student Quentin Learns to Drum to Back In Black with the Drum Program in Utah

See an example of one of our students performing in the drum studio one of the songs that he has been working hard on - Back In Black.

Students come from all over the Tooele valley and even parts of Salt Lake to participate in a unique drum program found no where else and is considered the top drum program in Utah. Just like Quentin's performance in this video, students learn to play along to all types of music including Rock, Country, Alternative, Pop, Latin, and Metal. Students many times get to choose what song they want to do as long as it is within their level of play. If you would like to see more students playing along to songs they have learned while in the drum program you can go to our YouTube Channel.

One of the reasons why this drum program is the best in Utah is our instructor Josh has decades of experience teaching kids and youth how to play the drums. He has developed a unique method system called Drums In Color. This new method is catching on like wild fire especially with younger kids as it uses a color coded system of learning. Colored rings on the physical drum set match the colored notation in the book. This colored method eliminates all the guess work and makes learning to read drum sheet music very intuitive.

As an added bonus to students becoming a part of Josh's drum studio, students will have online access to the Drum In Color tutorials as part of their monthly tuition. This will allow students to get book work help whenever needed simply by scanning the QR codes on each page of the book which link directly to the videos. This will become a major factor to students quick progression through the book and in the end better drummers.

Another thing that students get to enjoy as part of the drum program is semi-annual student performances. These performances are held at local venues. Students can invite friends and family to come watch them perform their songs on the drums. This gives students a glimpse into what it feels like to perform in front of others and it give parents a chance to be proud of their kid! You can see past student recitals here.

From what is presented here in this article you can probably imagine that this is a highly desired drum program so spots are limited. If you wish to get on the waiting list for you or a child you can fill out the form here. Once the form is filled out Josh will reach out within 24 hrs to see if there is a spot available to start. If not you will go on a waiting list for when a spot opens up.
