Student Drum Performances This Week in Tooele County: Metallica, Foo Fighters, Green Day, U2, Goo Goo Dolls & More

It’s been an exciting and productive week at Josh Kastleman Drum Lessons in Tooele County, Utah. Several drum students reached new milestones by completing full songs and recording them right here in the studio. From classic rock to modern alternative, these young drummers are mastering powerful grooves and developing real musical skill—all in just 30-minute lessons. Here’s a recap of their latest performances.

Aiden – “Enter Sandman” by Metallica

Aiden wrapped up one of Metallica’s most iconic songs, “Enter Sandman,” and recorded his performance in the studio last week. Originally released in 1991, this song features drummer Lars Ulrich, whose aggressive yet controlled playing style defines Metallica’s sound. Aiden did a great job handling the explosive fills and steady groove that make this song a drumming classic. He also earned a Metallica sticker for his binder and moved on to his next challenge.Watch Aiden’s video: joshkastlemandrumlessons.com/aiden

The track, driven by the late Taylor Hawkins, is smooth and dynamic—perfect for practicing consistency and musical feel. Both students earned stickers for their binders and jumped right into learning new songs.
